VeraEgypt is dedicated to ending the shame and stigma of period poverty throughout the Middle East. We believe that every person should have access to the menstrual health resources for themselves and their loved ones to live a life of dignity and empowerment.
Through our collaborative efforts with local communities, we strive to create sustainable menstrual health management solutions that improve the lives of individuals in diverse cultural settings.
We offer experiential learning training programs on menstrual health and hygiene, as well as low-cost, eco-friendly, reusable menstrual products, reducing reliance on disposable options and minimizing environmental impact.
We firmly believe that menstruation should never be a barrier to a women’s education, employment or social participation.
We aim to ensure a holistic approach where every woman and her community has the resources and support they need to manage their periods with dignity, respect and equality.
Born c. 260AD in Thebes, into a life of comfort and nobility, yet chose to join the Theban legion on its mission to Switzerland, to care for their wounded. After the entire legion was martyred, she served as a spiritual guide for young girls, also looking after their physical well being.
St. Verena was also fond of serving the poor, often feeding them, tending to the sick and marginalized, especially those suffering from leprosy. She lovingly treated their wounds fearless of their contagious disease. God performed many miracles through her, as she chose to be a strong light in the darkness.
VeraEgypt is a trailblazing social enterprise dedicated to empowering women and transforming lives of girls and women in the Middle East.
Our unwavering commitment to promoting gender equality, providing educational opportunities, ensuring access to healthcare, and fostering economic empowerment knows no boundaries.
Through our dedicated efforts, we are sowing the seeds of change, cultivating hope, and creating a future where every woman can embrace her dignity and achieve her fullest potential.
We are actively engaged in uplifting women in diverse and challenging environments.
Like St. Verena our venerated hero, a strong Egyptian woman leader, VeraEgypt is dedicated to ending the shame and stigma of period poverty within the Middle East.
